BJ's Rewards Checks Were Mailed Out!

Are you a BJ's Wholesale Rewards member? If so, they mailed out the rewards this week!

It's nice to get a little back from all that shopping, twice a year. One day while I at the checkout lane, an employee asked me if we spend over $200 a month at BJ's. My response was, easily!

The associate checked my account to be sure, and then explained the rewards program. You increase your membership level from a $45/yr basic membership to a $90/yr membership and earn 2% back. Since it was the middle of my membership year, they pro-rated my membership on-the-spot.

I'm happy to say, we earned back that additional increase in membership and more. So it paid for itself. Too bad the 2% back isn't good on gas! ;)

When It's Free Sample Day at BJ's Wholesale

My children get SO excited for Saturday shopping at BJ's. They love to help Mom with coupons, and wait ever so impatiently to make our way across the club to the food section where...

Many times they bicker about who is going into the club with Mom on free sample day. They keep accurate account of who went last. I have many volunteers, which makes my average shopping trip double in length. Even though I leave exhausted, I'm happy the kids had some free entertainment. I tell myself they are learning good economics, nutrition, and appropriate social skills in a public setting. Important life skills, no? Learning around the clock is my motto. ;)

The hard part is ushering them past the Subway and Dippin' Dots, exclaiming there is nothing to see there! Move along!

When we say goodbye to the door associate, she lovingly hole punches the receipt for the kiddos. Sometimes there is even a sticker as a bonus ending for them! Who knew that a family could have so much fun while taking care of errands.

After we unload the groceries and put it all away, we have an easy dinner to save my sanity.

Yo Baby Yogurt Report

My son LOVES Yo Baby Yogurt. I was pleased that they recently changed the bulk packaging at BJ's from (2) 6 packs, to (4) 4 packs! Woo hoo!

However, I went the other day to stock up for babykins (with coupon in hand), and they were not stocked! Not even a sign on the shelf!

I remained calm as I made my way over to speak to the front end manager, while visions of laboriously straining organic yogurt for hours on end, danced through my head. She checked the database for the scoop. It seems they are trying to obtain more, but there is no forecast as to when they will be able to get them. She thinks it might have something to do with the new packaging.

So, sadly, I'll have to go to another store to feed the baby's addiction. I'll let you know when they get more in stock! But if your baby is addicted like mine, and your location has them in stock, I highly suggest you fill your fridge while you can. :)
