  1. Extremely helpful article. Thanks for sharing!
Great article, and thanks for taking the time to publish it; really opened my eyes for some new perspectives that I hadn’t thought of before.

  2. I never heard of using vinegar, I think I’m gonna have to try it. I would think that it would leave a smell but now that I know it doesn’t I’ll be trying it ?

  3. We have hard water with lots of minerals. The vinegar helps keep the lines clean from calcium build up. The vinegar also acts as a deodorizer. There is no smell since the vinegar is diluted so much in the wash water.

Thanks to your review, I think I will give the BJs detergent a try the next time it’s on sale. I prefer the liquid too.

  4. Don’t use pods yet. My concern is when I have a small load or few things to wash. Do I cut pod in have? Doesn’t the vinegar leave its own smell.? How much do you put in?
    Thanks,

    • It suggests to not puncture the pack at all. It’s kind of why I am not sold on the pods over just using detergent. I like liquid detergent for the same reason if I have a small load or do not want to use as much soap. The vinegar leaves no smell on the clothes at all. I put in half of what my washer allows for fabric softener. I will actually measure it today to give you a better idea! Thanks for stopping by Karol!
