I have two young girls. I made it a rule to never say outloud in front of them- ” I look so fat.” Ughh look at all this fat.” I realized I grew up hearing it like it was just something you were supposed to complain about.

Yet as I grew older I realized that wasn't even fat. That was just some silly negative thought process in my head- that lead to self-doubt about my own body image.

I want to teach my daughters to be confident in who they are. I want to encourage them everyday on how great they are- just as they are.

It makes you think about how we share things on social media. The pictures we post of our kids even, and how many people compliment the photo based on beauty.

It starts at such a young age how girls are so often complimented or conversations started by how pretty they look. Today we can help share positive encouraging words  to build up every little girls self-esteem.
