  1. BJ’s by a landslide for me. I recently picked up a Costco membership again for the first time in years and am still also a BJ’s member. Costco impressed at first with some interesting snacks and things, but over time they have proven to be very inconsistent in terms of what they stock. “Wow, love these!” Too bad, they’ll never be on the shelf again. BJ’s doesn’t always have new stuff but they have staples that I have come to love and rely upon. Lot’s of organic meats and such, the best orange/mango juice, tons of veggies always well stocked and, the clincher, the ability as you described to check out myself using the cell phone app. Just no comparison at all. I will absolutely be letting this Costco membership run its course and not renew. Don’t see how anyone could rely on that place as a primary shopping source.

  2. I have Sam’s Club, Costco and BJ’S memberships and love them all. While in Florida, BJ’s is closer to shop, but Costco with their great deals includes pizza at the cafe with the pharmacy. At home I have Sam’s club across from me , BJ’s 8 miles. Lancaster I have BJ’s and Costcos close . Bjs with the lunch meat counter is a plus with coupons to make everything you buy cheaper. BJ’s gas is a definite savings using the credit card over Sam’s.

  3. I have 1 Sam’s Club, 3 Costco, & 4 BJ’s clubs all within 15 miles of my home (I live in a suburban area of S.E. PA) and, hands down, I prefer BJ’s! Not only are the prices generally better than the other 2 clubs, but they are the ONLY club to accept Mfr’s coupons!!! There are just a very few things I purchase from the other 2 clubs. Luckily, I have family with memberships at Sam’s & Costco, so we all help each other out in that way! My biggest disappointment with BJ’s is the fact that they did away with the food courts, and now I hear that they’re adding Dunkin Donuts kiosks instead…such a healthy alternative (not)!!!

    • Hi Diana! Yes smart way to save is to have friends/family get other memberships too! I love that idea. Yes the Food Court is a bummer, I heard that about Dunkin Donuts over a year ago and have yet to see any sign of Dunkin Donuts going in any of our Bjs clubs.

  4. Well on Florida you’d be factually incorrect. BJ’S is always and I mean always more expensive than Costco. In addition, if you think Wesley Farms and Kirkland are the same I want some of what you’re smoking! Just try each brands paper towels and let the readers know what your results are.
