BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos

It’s football season and I have the perfect recipe for your tailgating party!   Get ready to cheer on your favorite team ( I was born and raised in Wisconsin, Go Pack Go) with help from BJ’s Wholesale club.

New research from BJ’s Wholesale Club tackles the question of America’s tailgating habits, showing that for almost half of Americans (45%) tailgating is more important than the game. And 60% of us are diehard tailgaters, showing up for the pre-game party rain, sleet, snow or shine.

Chef Glenn has put together some amazing recipes that I want to share with you below.  We dipped into the BBQ  Pulled Pork Nachos with Spicy Beer-Cheese Queso and my husband loves this dip. It truly is a crowd pleaser. For my children ages five and three, I had to tone down the Pepper Jack cheese.

The girls loved the pulled pork and asked for seconds. If you are going to be having a football party this season I highly recommend BJ’s catering services. For Father’s day we ordered the sandwich platter and used other delicious ingredients from BJ’s and it was a HUGE success. Plus I loved having a party where I didn’t have to prep the day before. All I had to do was stop by the deli/bakery at BJ’s and pick up my goodies.

You can view the catering menu here.  Please note that your store must have a deli to use their catering menu.

Here’s what it will cost you to make BBQ Pulled Pork Nachos dish from BJ’s Wholesale Club. ( Recipe is below)

  • 1 Boneless Pork Loin $1.79/lb. (average 8-10 lbs.)- 8 lbs = $14.32 ( This month Feb they are on sale $1.69/lb)
I  cut this into four equal pieces and then used one piece for this dish. That was way more then one dinner’s worth so we are having Pulled Pork Sandwiches another night and the rest of the pork went into the freezer.
$1.79 for a family of six to use the pork for this dish.
  • Philadelphia Cream Cheese 6 pk. $11.99- I used one 8 oz. pack. $1.99
  • 2 Pack of Large Size of Chips- One bag was Tostitos Tortilla Chips $5.98- Used one bag- $2.99
  • Bought a 28 pack of Labatt Blue Beer- $18.49- Used half a beer- $0.33

The rest are all pantry items that many people should already have.  Spices and baking items are always priced cheaper at BJ’s then my local grocery stores. They are one of my Must Buys at BJ’s Wholesale Club.

Total Cost for this dish: $7.10 at 6 servings that is just $1.18 per person and this is filling it can be your main dish!
