Product Recall for Cottonelle Flushable Wipes at BJs

There is a new recall for Cottonelle® Flushable Wipes and Cottonelle® GentlePlus Flushable Wipes.

Why Recalled?

The products may contain Pluralibacter gergovaie, a common household microorganism that can cause infections.

“Individuals who have a weakened immune system, suffer from serious pre-existing conditions, have been treated surgically, or belong to another sensitive group of persons are at particular risk of infection,” the company said in a statement Friday.

“At this time there is a low rate of non-serious complaints, such as irritation and minor infection, reported for the affected wipes,” it added.

The company noted that there “is no evidence to support the transmission of COVID-19 associated with any of our products,” adding that the wipes were not contaminated by a coronavirus-infected employee.

Do not bring your item back to the store. There is no need to return it.

From the website “Please stop using the product and contact Kimberly-Clark's Consumer Service team at 1-800-414-0165 regarding this recall for further instructions.”
