Fingerlings Hottest Toy This Year- But Should You Waste Your Money?

Hey Everyone! Last night I went out by myself to do a little shopping. Nothing for the blog just shop. It’s hard to turn off looking for deals and just shopping for our family.

Anyways I decided to see if I could find Fingerlings. I know you’re laughing because they are cleared out at EVERY store that sells them.

It’s Oct. 31. We are just going to celebrate Halloween, not close to Thanksgiving and already toys are cleared from the shelf.

Side note: I have to say this year the Holiday shopping is way too early. The little girls holiday dresses in red and gold were out at Target last night. 

Is it because it’s a craze?

Or is it because people who sell items online know this is a HOT toy and are going to buy them all now to resell online for double, even triple the cost because we as consumers “need it now”.

As frugal shoppers, we know to always be looking for a deal right?

Well, this morning I happened to look at Fingerlings on Amazon because I too decided that my 4-year-old daughter “needs” one.

After reading the reviews I am not going to bother.

The way American’s are shopping is shifting but if we are going to be doing a majority of our shopping online let’s keep sharing with each other what is worth our money and what is not. This was just the first page out of 400 something reviews. Is it really worth your money?

I’m not so sure anymore. At the very least if we really need to grab this for the kiddos do what many people in the reviews said DO NOT PAY more than $14.99 because they are not worth anymore.

We work hard for our dollar so let’s spend it wisely.

We just received this and thankfully only paid actual retail price for it, because it is definitely not worth more than that. Within 24 hours most of the rubber paint on the fingers is gone – tail broke off. Really not happy with the quality.

Don’t waste your money on this. My daughter purchased this yesterday….yes, yesterday with her own money from T*rget. A few hours later she was crying because she said his arm was broke. I didn’t believe her at first but then later in the evening I saw this this….. also the paint is coming off of his fingers and toes. She is 5 so she is past the chewing on things stage. Now it’s useless because the grip is no longer there because the arm is broken.

The monkey is super cute, but here’s the problem… the tail breaks super easy and the paint on the hands and feet rub off.. and this all happened with in 30 mins of my nieces and nephews playing with theirs.

We recievedours Wednesday and we were thrilled. Less then an hour and the hands and feet were pealing. It’s now Friday, two days later and the battery is now dead. It wasn’t played with roughly or left on too long. Disappointed with this purchase.
