Growing up, my grandfather used to go to the local supermarket, and select his favorite Brach’s Candies from the loose candy bins. They were sold by the pound back then.

Brach’s Candy has been around since 1904. They originated in Chicago, but it’s popularity here in the Northeast made me think all these years that they originated somewhere in MA. Who knew!

I’m not sure if this is a seasonal item. I don’t recall seeing it before, and the picture of the polar bears on the front are reminiscent of the holidays.
