I have an almost 3-year old and a 5- year old and they LOVE smoothies. It seems the only way to get my youngest to consume more veggies is in a smoothie! This month is American Heart Month, which is dedicated to raising awareness of heart health. The leading cause of death in America is heart disease. Eating healthy is an important step that can decrease your risk, especially when the winter blues slow you down.
BJ’s has awesome frozen fruit to quickly make a smoothie! If you don’t buy a mixed bag that has spinach or kale in it you can buy a frozen bag of spinach and throw a handful of that in as well for extra nutrients and fiber.
The girls and I decided to try the recipe for Cherry Berry Smoothie! It was a hit all around. We opted for Silk Almond milk because my daughter doesn’t react to well to milk- but either choice this smoothie is delicious!
