It's November which means it is time to crack down on planning our shopping trips. I love shopping on Black Friday and wanted to share with you these important Black Friday Shopping Tips every BJ's member needs to know.
I have been a black Friday shopper for the past 10 years but the past couple years shopping on Thanksgiving day has been not good. I loved eating an amazing meal, sleeping for a few hours, getting up early when it's cold, and chatting with other savers while in line.
Then I shopped BJ's for Black Friday one year when we bought a memory foam topper and it was fabulous. The line was short ( granted I live in a small town) and people were polite in the store. Now I know this completely depends on where you live.
Something I think all BJ's members will agree on is that we are happy they are closed on Thanksgiving. Maybe it will make it easier in where you decide to get your deal shopping done this year.

10 Black Friday Shopping Tips Every BJ's Member Needs To Know
YOU MUST KNOW THE BJ'S BLACK FRIDAY HOURS
BJ’s clubs will open at 7 a.m. on Black Friday with hundreds of exciting offers, exclusive in-club only deals and dozens of doorbusters. This year BJ's plans to offer MORE online only deals as well.
Last year was the first time BJ's extended their hours and they are again this year.
BJ's Clubs are extending their holiday hours the week leading up to Thanksgiving.
- Friday, Nov. 17 – Wednesday, Nov. 22: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23: Closed
- Black Friday, Nov. 24: 7 a.m. open, normal closing hours
- Sunday, Dec. 10 – Saturday, Dec. 23: Check with your local club for holiday hours

MAKE A LIST
Browsing around on Black Friday works but not if you want the hot deals. I have learned that others will go right in front of you and grab that item you were contemplating for 10 minutes and of course it's the last one.
Look through the ad beforehand and know what you want to get. Add back up items on the list in case they are out of the item you want. ALWAYS check online for the same item before you rearrange all your shopping trips.
PRICE COMPARE
If you truly want to get the best deal check out the same item at a few different retailers. Stores get competitive around this time of year. So far I have always found BJ's to be the same or cheaper than other retailers when it comes to black friday sales.
DECIDE IF YOU NEED TO SHOP IN STORE OR ONLINE
It's good to think about the cost of gas your time and sanity when it comes to shopping black friday. Is your item only available in store? Did you check to see if it was available online? If the item is available for the price you want online I recommend just picking it up that way. Many of the items have free shipping on BJs.comÂ
Plus this year many deals are available online only.Â
USE YOUR COUPONS
Don't forget that you can use BJ's store coupons and manufacturer coupons on black Friday. This is a mega savings day and coupons are STILL allowed. YES!

Not sure if I’ll get into the Black Friday crowds, but BJ’s certainly is a more pleasant place to shop and always great value.
Probably not. After spending Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving on my feet baking & cooking for close to 30 family members, Black Friday is my day of rest. 🙂

I will be shopping on black friday. It has become a tradition for me, my mother and my sister to go out alone and have a girls trip to shop. It is less about the shopping and more about all the fun we have together, just the three of us without husbands and children.

I love that they are closed on Thanksgiving. The savings at BJS is great especially if you use coupons. I don’t typically shop in stores on Black Friday but I will be doing some holiday shopping there even if it isn’t on Black Friday.

I only wanted to do online shopping on BF but now I’m tempted to try BJ’s. I became a member last December so I didn’t know what to expect.
I don’t usually shop on Black Friday. I worked for years in retail and having to work on Black Friday instead of spending it with family is not what I wanted to be doing and neither do most of these poor people that have no choice but to work it. I prefer to shop online for the few deals I need for gifts but thats as far as it goes in this house. We will be spending our Thanksgiving break camping in Sanibel enjoying ourselves and relaxing.

I have never shopped on Black Friday, but if there is an amazing deal on a TV at BJ’s, I might just do it. But only because BJ’s opens at a reasonable time on that day. I refuse to support businesses who make families work Thanksgiving night or in the wee hours of Friday morning.

Yes but since I work in retail and I’m on maternity leave it will more than likely just to go to BJ’s and Carter’s which is were I work, They typically run a good sale for black Friday and I have like $60 in rewards that I have been hoarding for BF.
