Sounds silly… my favorite stuffed animal was “Turtle” with a bright pink body and floppy legs. His overstuffed shell made the perfect pillow while watching cartoons with my big brothers. And his tail *may* have been sewn back on too many times after dangling along with me everywhere. 🙂

Dont remember if I had one but my daughter had a soft stuffed doll named Ugly that she took everywhere. She was called ugly because by the time she could talk the doll had been washed and mended so many times she was truly “ugly”. Ugly has now been passed down to my granddaughter, I am still mending her lol.

Definitely! And I still have him. It’s a stuffed mouse named Ray, after my pet rat that passed away when I was in high school. I love that guy.
I just had a special pillow… but My husband had “Carmichael”— a cat that Avon was giving out in the 80s… when we had our first child, my mother-in-law found a Carmichael on eBay that was brand new since Avon doesn’t make them anymore. Our son is 3 now and can’t sleep without it.

My favorite stuffed animal growing up was my teddy bear. My parents picked it out for me when I was still in the belly and had it waiting for me in my crib. When I was 3 yrs old I helped pick out my little brother’s teddy bear for him. Now that we’re expecting our first baby I can’t wait to pick out a special teddy bear for him/her!

Effie Lou was my favorite stuffed doll. My grandmother made her for me and a similar one for every granddaughter after me. All had the middle name Lou. Effie Lou, Mary Lou, Cindy Lou, Betty Lou, and I can’t remember the others. And she made us tons of clothes to go with the dolls too…sewn, crocheted, and knitted outfits. Good memories.

My favorite stuffed animal when I was a kid was a bear that was given to me by a nurse in the hospital when I had my tonsils out. I was 8. Over the years Puff has lost an eye (which I replaced with one that doesn’t match well), got skinnier and had a few holes which needed stitching. Many times I have thought it was time to let him go but here we are 45 years later and we are still together.

This is a really cherished memory, my parents took me to Macy’s In Herald Square in NYC to see Santa. I got a beautiful plush Eskimo puppet with a teal colored outfit and fur around the hood. I called her Elki. I can still picture her.

A white stuffed teddy bear my dad got me for Valentine’s when i was 7, I named it “Harold” after him. He had a little tear in his armpit because my brother took him from me and i was trying to get him back and he ripped. I took that bear everywhere with me. I also had a favorite stuffed turtle as a child. I read in the comments that somebody else did too! The one near my father lost his job oh, well got laid off from the steel mill. That was the only gift I received that year and I loved it so much that it did not matter.
