He had a little tear in his armpit because my brother took him from me and i was trying to get him back and he ripped. I took that bear everywhere with me. Over the years Puff has lost an eye (which I replaced with one that doesn’t match well), got skinnier and had a few holes which needed stitching. Many times I have thought it was time to let him go but here we are 45 years later and we are still together.

Effie Lou was my favorite stuffed doll. My grandmother made her for me and a similar one for every granddaughter after me. All had the middle name Lou. Dont remember if I had one but my daughter had a soft stuffed doll named Ugly that she took everywhere. She was called ugly because by the time she could talk the doll had been washed and mended so many times she was truly “ugly”.
