Review on The Peeps Cookie Coop Kit from BJ’s Wholesale

I had to grab this adorable Peeps Cookie Coop Kit at BJ's since I'm all about my farm animals! I had the girls do it early so we could share a review with you all here.

If you don't want to bother with the fluff of reading- We loved it! The kids thought it was easy enough to do on their own. It was a much better experience for us than Gingerbread kits.

The best part? The Cookie actually tastes good! As well as the frosting.

We did PopTart houses this past Christmas because I was tired of the Gingerbread ones being HORRIBLE.

You get two coops in each kit at BJs.

My Girls are eight and ten to give you an idea of the age that can handle this almost on their own. I did assist with a little gluing.

We layered a cookie sheet with tin foil to build the coop on.

Have the kiddos squeeze the frosting to get it all mixed up nice. No one wants that first squeeze to be water.

The first thing it tells you to do is decorate the chickens. The girls cut the frosting on their own and ended up cutting a hole a little too big to outline the cookies.

This would be a part where an adult snips the tip smaller.

The next step is to put these little round ones together- like little sandwiches. You want the frosting to start to set before you assemble the rest of it.

Then we lined up the four pieces and placed the base on top.

Next come the sides. There is quite a bit of frosting. Don't be shy with adding a lot to connect these pieces. We didn't add enough the first time and had to go back and make a thicker layer.

The directions tell you to wait 15 minutes in between drying. Depending on the age of your child, this could be the worst part! It does dry up pretty quickly. And the locking part on the sides makes a big difference.
