Sam’s Club members will be lining up at BJ’s Wholesale clubs for a $25 membership offer. BJ’s is broadcasting all over their welcoming message and steep membership discount to Sam’s members.
You probably heard by now that Sam’s club closed 63 of its stores. BJ’s was smart and jumped on the opportunity to welcome Sam’s club members and employees.
Now you may hear commercials from BJ’s welcoming Sam’s members and when you walk into a local club there may be a sign up welcoming Sam’s members too.
When I walked into our Rochester NY location and saw the Welcome Sam’s Member sign, I immediately thought- “Hey what about the current members?”
I love that BJ’s is opening their doors to the employees and members, but I wish the current members, the ones who have been a loyal fan for years would get a renewal discount. It’s the one question I receive almost daily in my inbox.
“Are there any discounts for renewal memberships?”
What if BJ’s offered a half-price discount every couple years? I wish we didn’t have to always pay full price for a renewal membership just as much as you do.

IS the membership still working…i signed up for the $25 gift card
This article is NOT accurate. I went on 2/6/2018 to the BJ’s Club at Brier Creek in Raleigh, NC and was told at their Membership services desk that the special membership price for Sam’s Club members was $40.00 with auto renewal, NOT $25.00. Their phone number is 919-572-5582. Maybe the $25.00 special does not apply at all of their locations?

Current BJ’s members should definitely receive the same deal as Sam’s club members. Why should we be the ones paying full price? It’s not fair to us.
