  1. We actually do not buy meat at BJ’s, because the prices are greater than what we pay.

We found, years ago, that Hispanic supermarkets have the best prices on meat and produce. Especially, when they are running a sale.

When we lived on Long Island, we went to a place in Riverhead. Here, in Florida, we go the Sedano’s, Presidente, and Bravo all of which are chain supermarkets.

  2. BJ’s meat is fresh and never had any problems. Their Italian sausage is delicious in the 2 convenient packages , chicken breasts delicious.

  3. everything said about BJ’s meat has nothing to do with it being grass fed. Some stores may carry grass fed and grass finished meat but all natural US means nothing. It just means the meat was fed corn and isn’t given antibiotics which is a start but it’s not grass fed.

I even asked their butchers when I went in.

Also, vegetarian diets aren’t great for chickens, chickens are not vegetarians, they are omnivores.

  4. I also didn’t realize that BJ’s sells grass-fed, hormone and antibiotic free meat. I always make a special trip to a specialty “clean food” store to get meat when it’s on sale. This would save me the hassle, time, and gas! I am definitely checking it out on my next shopping trip.

  5. This is a great post! I had no idea that even the organic meat was a better price! I will definitely be buying my meats there from now on!
