Quick, Easy, & Cheap Keto Items at Aldi

You’ve discovered the Keto diet and need the necessary pantry items to survive this thing! ALDI has your back.

If you are new to the Keto diet you’re probably wondering what all the hype is about.  If eating bacon everyday sounds exciting like it does to this author who tried the diet, you’re in the right place.

*This article was first published on The Frugal Farm Girl.

Here’s the online definition.

“The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate protein, low-carbohydrate diet… The diet forces the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates.” – Wikipedia.

I personally love ALDI because it is quick, convenient and cheap. Not to mention the direction they’ve been going! Often carrying healthier options which benefits those who are seeking a more diverse and cost-effective Keto Diet.

A deal I constantly see and never pass up at Aldi are the eggs for $0.99 a dozen. Often times they drop even lower with weekly sale promotions. Plus you can use Checkout 51 to save more at Aldi on produce items.

If you’ve never shopped at ALDI’s there are a few preparation steps you’ll need to take.

  1. Bring your Own Bags, (Sometimes there’s cardboard in bins in the store you can use as well)
(If you forget, they have some to buy for .10
  2. Bring a Quarter for the Shopping Cart. Its how you unlock your cart.
  3. Satisfaction. All products are backed by ALDIS Double Guarantee and they will replace the product and refund you.
  4. PRICE! ALDI’s brands save you up to 50% over most big box names.I save the most on Dairy and Veggies here.

Here is the list of items to look for at ALDI’s to sustain your Keto diet

I’ve included photos of my personal favorites that work for a Keto diet.

I have been on the Keto WOE (way of eating) for 2 months. I have lost 40 pounds and my blood glucose (A1C) has gone from 9.6 to 5.9. I would recommend Keto for anyone who wants to be healthier and lose weight quickly, because all you are doing is eliminating most of the carbs that are usually burned for energy and teaching your body to burn fat for energy instead.

I have heard of the Keto diet and a few friends have tried. It seemed to work for them. Not sure if I would give it a try because I have not followed any specific diet for years.

We love shopping at ALDI. This is the first time I’ve heard of this diet. I would have to read more about it, before trying it.

I’ve heard of it but I’m not really interested in it, I find I need slightly more carbs to keep my serotonin levels sufficiently high for me with my fibro.

I have seen medical research that shows a high risk of health problems for the average person with the Keto Diet. There are better diets available with positive health consequences.

Keto can be a diet, but for me it’s a way of life! I have been on it for 3 years and doing great! Lost weight, but the main reason I started was because of major bloating after every meal – it was mostly due to grains. Another reason I stick to this Way of Life is that once you eliminate any starches and sugars, your body doesn’t crave sugar! It’s amazing – coming from a huge sugar binger! Something that low fat diets never worked for. I would still have huge sugar cravings! Fat doesn’t make you fat, it’s the carbs! Love this way of life!

I have to watch the oxalate content of food since my husband develops kidney stones. So that’s our current diet, since it’s easier to buy what is low in oxalates than having to obsess over each item. I still eat spinach, though (which is really high in oxalates). Luckily, beef, chicken and pork are allowed.

My mom did Keto and lost 42 pounds so I am on the fence. She seems to go off the diet and then gain weight back that she has to restart the diet again.

I’ve looked into Keto, and it is definitely interesting. I currently more or less follow a Mediterranean food plan and have been steadily losing weight, so I will stick with it for now.

No, this plan is not for me. I don’t like anything that cuts out while groups of foods. I’m happy doing weight watchers, where no food is off limits.

I have been thinking about starting the keto diet I don’t have much to lose but I am impatient I have been doing a lot of research on this diet and the only way I would start it is by doing my research.

Of course! Knowledge is vital in order to see any kind of results.I think this is one of the more preferred diets for those who are impatient. Ketogenic diets work pretty darn quick all things considered.

Yes I would definitely try the Keto diet. I just wish the ketogneic supplements weren’t so expensive! They help, your body go into ketosis so fast so you quickly begin burning fat.

I have a few friends doing the Keto, one for migraine issues and one for weight loss. I need to lose weight, but I worry about my kidney function on this diet. It’s defi not to be entered blindly into.

Absolutely, that’s key to remember with any of these diets. We are all different. I’m sure the sugar cut would help with Migraines! I highly recommend everyone to check in with their doctor and evaluate their health before jumping blindly into a diet that could potentially harm their organs like you’ve concerned.Like they say ” You don’t know what you’re missing till its gone”, as with certain nutrients and vitamins from foods you may potentially cut.. You may not need as much sugar, but you may not necessarily have to omit it from your diet entirely as well. Thanks for checking out the post!
