BJ’s members are used to the club being closed on Thanksgiving, what will be different for shoppers this year is the Black Friday events the day after.
In the years past Walmart, Target, and other retailers were known for opening on Thanksgiving deals offering deep discounts on items all the way through Friday and the weekend.
Walmart hasn’t been closed on Thanksgiving since the late 1980s. This year some retailers like Home Depot have announced they will be offering two months of deals. Starting in early November and lasting through December, both in-store and online.
Target has announced they are starting Black Friday type deals in October with more items added to their pick up and delivery too.
I imagine other retailers will be doing something similar since Black Friday is a BIG revenue day for many companies.
