Opening the windows up for fresh air and feeling the breeze while the birds are chirping and the dogs are barking and everything is just coming to life! Winter is so depressing, when spring starts it just lifts your spirits, the warm weather and longer days and there’s just more color… flowers, leaves, grass…. Love it all!!!

My favorite thing about spring is being able to sit and eat outside on the deck. Our deck has a pergola overtop and the pergola is covered in kiwi vines. When the vines fill in with leaves and fruit (later in the summer), it becomes a hidden green oasis and stays about 15 degrees cooler than the rest of the yard. Pure bliss!

I live in South Florida so we really don’t experience a change of seasons. I truly loved spring when I lived in in the Northeast and everything bloomed and came back to life. In S Florida the smells of rain and fresh cut grass are as close as I get to that spring nostalgia.
