I would buy toys & some clothes for each of our 5 grandchildren.
I would spend much of what was left to buy clothes, blankets, bottles, diapers, & bibs for our church layette program.
Each year we make up layette packs. Each one includes a crib blanket, a receiving blanket, an outfit, a sleeper, a onesie, a bib, socks or booties, 6 disposable diapers, & a bottle. They are then packed up & we deliver them to hospitals in Macomb County that deliver babies. The Social Worker distributes them to mother’s that deliver a baby & have little or nothing for the child. We also take them to Social Services to be given out in the community.
This has been a special project for me since I joined the church 19 years ago. I took over leadership of it 3 years ago. At Mother’s Day 2019, we donated 220 of these much needed packages.

I would use it to plan a small babymoon for my husband and I (we’re expecting our first in a month). We wanted to do one, but we’ve been very focused on saving to take care of some house projects that were a necessity to get done before our little girl joins the family. The current plan is to have a nice date night in a couple weeks with a good dinner and then go see the new Star Wars movie on opening night (a tradition since Disney started releasing new ones).

When I have money to spend on anything, I usually can’t find anything to spend it on. 😂 If I had it, I would probably use it and do makeovers in my kids bedrooms. I can’t think of anything else on my want list. New paint and flooring for the kiddies is what’s next on the to do list. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I would definitely treat myself and my family with 1/2 items of choice but for the most part it’d go to our healthy lifestyle eating choices. Buying more organic options and saving what I could every week because that’s how I like it – spending but saving a bit every single time!
