Have you heard about BJ's Wholesale club opening a new concept of its own kind- called BJ's Market?

The new BJ's Market will be opening in Warwick, RI and it's the first of its kind.

According to WPRI.com, “Peter Frangie, a spokesperson for BJ’s Wholesale Club, tells 12 News the new Warwick location won’t look anything like the company’s other locations.

“We want to be more of a ‘lunchbox shop’ … for the mom and dad that are driving home and say, ‘oh wait a minute, we need to fill the kids’ lunchboxes tomorrow,’ this is the place that they can come,” Frangie explained.

The idea of the market they said is to appeal to those who want to run in and grab a few items on the way home from work.

I know I personally have done that plenty of times getting one or two items at BJs.

Frangie said BJ’s Market will serve as an innovation lab for the company, which means the location will test new products, assortments, displays and customer service enhancements.

The market is 30% smaller than existing stores.

Located at 375 East Ave, BJ’s market is 43,000 square feet, about half the size of a full-sized BJ’s club. BJ’s market will feature top-selling fresh foods, produce, sundries, and seasonal products for members of BJ’s Wholesale club, in a convenient, efficient shopping experience.
