BJ's is really listening to us lately! With the push of new digital coupons coming for us shoppers who have a million other things to remember now, we can just add our BJ's coupons to our membership card.
For those who shop in a club that is always packed and you have to wait 10 hours to checkout, you will love having the express scan option.
The Express Scan allows you to scan your items while you shop so when you are ready to check out all you need to do is use your form of payment and be on your way.
Currently, this is only available at one store currently. See below for stores listed.
This will be available to ALL CLUBS in a short period of time. I will keep you updated as soon as I get more information. The app is now available in the Apple Store. When your store is using this express scan you will see the kiosks pictured and signage up for it.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
1. Download the app once then open it each time you enter the Club. The app requires the camera permission to scan barcodes for shopping.
2. First-time users, please scan your BJ's Membership Card.
3. Scan each item's barcode before placing it in your cart. You'll see a running tally of your purchases so you can keep track of your spending.
4. When you're done shopping, go to the designated BJ's Express Scan Pay Station. Scan the bar code on the Pay Station screen with your device. No lifting – leave your items in your cart.
5. Then check out and pay – and take your paper receipt.

Does anyone know that there is a service charge of $4.00 each time you use the Express Pay. I still LOVE it but it is not mentioned anywhere. A bit sneaky!
I went shopping at Sam’s with my son and he was scanning items in his phone so I asked him what he’s was doing and when he told me I thought that was awesome I wish all BJ’s had scan and go I keep looking for the stores I shop at to get it. I can’t wait.
Let’s see… This article was dated Aug 2017. Almost 3 years later and only 7 Bjs offer this ExpressPay service??? What is taking so long?

This is amazing and I can’t wait! I do worry about scammers tho. How are they going to trust people? You know those checkers at the door glance at receipt and punch it and don’t care. It’s not just on the second-tier phones. Android phones (market leading OS) are also supported.

Even if you do not have an apple phone you can use the scanners in store when it is available at your club. 🙂
Omg life changing! I can not wait for this to hit all stores! I sometimes do my shopping at sams bc i never have to go thru a checkout! I just scan and pay! I mean when ur shopping with 3 kids its the best! But….how would coupons work?
Coupons are “clipped” via the BJ’s app, and are automatically applied via the ExpressPay app.
