Brita Vs BJ's Filters
It's flashing change soon, then it's flashing change in red.
How many months do you let it go before finally biting the bullet and buying replacement filters?
I was buying Brita's filters for years until I recently discovered BJ's has their own Pitcher Filters for a much better price.
That's right BJ's brand filters will fit inside your Brita filter!
Here's the Breakdown:
Brita Filters Start at $22.99 for 6 and $36.99 for 10 at BJ's.
Making each filter cost around $3.83 for 6 or $3.69 for 10! Almost $4 EACH!
BJ's Filters are $29.99 for 9.
Making each cost around $3.20! You're getting one less filter than the 10 pk but for $7 less!
About Berkley Jensen Brand Filters:
- Fits Brita pitchers and Berkley Jensen pitchers
- No pre-soaking required
- No black bits in water
- Reduces chlorine taste and odor for great-tasting water
- Includes 9 filters
Final Verdict:
Sure you can subscribe and save on Amazon for Brita Filters, but you'll be paying more and getting way fewer filters.
We decided BJ's was the best bet at $3.33 a filter and you get more filters starting at 9 each.

I had years ago a BJ’s membership, dropped it for financial reasons. Now I get promotions to join again for $25 for 3 mos but I’m told at customer service I can’t use it because I am a former member & its only for new customers. I would like to become a member again.

Price wise, BJ’s brand is the way to go but it doesn’t filter everything Brita does. So if you only care about chlorine taste and odor then get the BJ’s brand.
Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of BJ’s brand items that are just as good. I just don’t think this one is.

I have Brita now for so long and have not tried any brand filter but Brita. I thought an off brand would not be compatible but you prove me wrong. Is it on sale at BJS right now?

Thanks for the comparison and number crunching. BJ’s should make some filters for the kitchen faucet mounted water filter systems (PUR, Brita, etc), as well.

I never knew that you can use BJ’s filter on a Brita. Thanks for the information!

I had a Brita pitcher and hated that I had black bits so I got rid of it. Man I wish I still had it so I could use the bjs filter with it.. thanks for sharing.

I am going to switch to BJs brand. I love it when their products are just like the big name brand. Might be made by the same company – just different packaging.

My mom has a Brita and uses it all the time. I like that the BJs filter doesn’t have to be pre-soaked and doesn’t leave the black charcoal flakes

Will refrigerator filters be available soon?

I’ll be needing some new filters, so good to know. Thanks.

Wow, the BJ’s filters don’t require soaking. The Brita ones I use you have to soak first. They also fit my Brita water pitcher so I don’t have to buy a new one awesome
