I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. All the preparation and busyness beforehand helped to make a nice day for the children. We attended a beautiful Christmas Eve Mass where there was standing room only! I enjoyed the closeness of receiving Jesus in the Eucharist, singing traditional Christmas hymns, smelling the incense, gazing at the outdoor life-sized Nativity set, seeing the faces of friends and family, answering the barrage of theological questions from my children about the meaning of Christmas, and much more.
I'm completely spent, but grateful that as a Catholic, I can celebrate the holy season of Christmas through January 11th. That means, that while the stores are already putting out the Valentine's Day candy, the tree and lights can burn a little longer for us.

Fellow Catholic here. Woot woot! I'm glad we get to celebrate a little longer, too. 🙂 I'm not ready for the Christmas decor to come down yet.
