We had a terrible experience last Saturday at our local BJs. We had to purchase 10 bags of 20lb ice in order to get a Costco price match. By the time they verified the price the ice had started to melt. We also had ice cream. 90 Hoodies ice cream cups for a 5 year old birthday party became one big malt.
The manager there with the gold front tooth did not smile and frowned the entire time. Thankfully one of the customer service members intervened and was more than willing to help. She did an amazing job mitigating.
To sum this all up when I got to the front door to show proof of purchases even the front door person said, “You finally getting out of here?” This was right before she realized I had been charged for 20 bags of ice and I had to wait in line to get a refund from the same frowned manager while the ice and ice cream continued to melt. The party was in a few hours and we were already behind schedule.No apologies were extended.
Membership at BJs is to hard. I will pay more and possibly less options, but I’m sticking with Costco. It’s easy and fun there.
