My favorite holiday tradition is playing games with my whole family, young and old. I remember playing “Perfection” and “Operation” around the table after dinner when I was a child. My Godfather would get startled every time the pieces jumped up in Perfection. It was so funny! My Godparents and Dad are not with us anymore but we continue the tradition of playing games after Christmas dinner. We keep their memories alive and make new memories by keeping this tradition every year. 🎄❤️
I know I’m a bit late on the contest but I wanted to share anyway! Happy New Year!
My Mom is from Germany and her holiday tradition which is now our family’s tradition is making Gluhwein on Christmas Eve. Glühwein, is a traditional hot drink (mulled wine) made with red wine and various spices, including citrus, cinnamon, star anise, and cloves. It is absolutely delicious and perfect on a cold night surrounded by family and friends.

Christmas never was a big holiday for me growing up and not having children now hasn’t changed that all that much. However, my boyfriend’s family lives in Jacksonville, Florida and our newest tradition is to spend Christmas late morning on the beach. We’ll have something small to eat at home, then trek oceanside for brunch. Some years we have to bundle up and others we’re in t-shirts. It’s such a joy spending quiet, beautiful time with a small group of family.
Actually two favorites, decorating the tree and hours. Also, baking cookies and cakes.
