i just looked at my bank acct and at 230 am BJS decided to auto renew my card. i never authorized this. since when did BJS think they can do this without me saying so? this bullshit needs to stop , what if i moved and joined Sams Club. get read BJS for a phone call as i will not allow you to just take money without me saying too.
My experience: Membership expired end of Feb, tried to renew at discount rate link Mar 1, but no discount was offered.
I wonder if it depends on the specific club or area one joined. Some clubs/areas may be having more of a membership drive than others.

Today, 02/03/2022, I attempted to renew my membership using the special offer of renewal for $25. I do not get to Greenfield ( closest store) that often so the $25 renewal works for me. Well, g uess what….$55 came up to be charged to my card. I guess we can’t trust any one these businesses now. Given this bait and switch, I shall really want something from BJs quite badly for me to even consider renewing this membership.
Are you still a current member? If so it is written in the post in order for you to renew at $25 online it has to be expired, and you can also go to your local club and ask for the $25 renewal rate.
They must have caught on because this no longer works. Upon clicking the link for renewal it adds the regular $55 membership to the cart!
It’s not that they caught on, the link was on their website, they have removed it for now. Hopefully they will offer another promo soon.
My membership expired 12/21 and I’ve been trying your link ever since and to date 3/29/22 it DOES not work I only hope Bj’s is giving you something for miss leading everyone this way.
The link was working and BJs has stopped it again. It comes and goes. This is stated in the blog post.
Thank you so much. My membership recently expired and hated to pay full price. No BJ’s in our home up north, so not worth the full price to us. The $25 renewal makes me very happy because BJ’s is the closest warehouse club in our Florida location.
I went through your link and paid the $25 renewal plus tax. The money was taken out of my account. When I went into my email there was an email regarding this. I was trying to print it out and all of a sudden the email just disappeared. I’ve checked all of my folders and trash . It is nowhere to be found. Now I don’t even have the confirmation number.

Thanks but this is only good for one person. Each additional is $30 each. You normally get two when you renew or join.
Once you purchase the $25 using another person in the household, how do you get the card?
You will need to go to your local BJs club tell them you purchased it online. They will most likely use your driver’s license to look it up and get you your cards 🙂

I believe the primary needs to get the cards first just because they take your picture for the primary card.

Hi Jaqueline, you should be able to go to your local customer service desk at BJs and ask for the $25 renewal.
I asked the front desk and they can’t give discounts. I was notified to give a renewal code which I don’t know where to get it. I an elderly and wouldn’t save at all if I pay $55. for the renewal. I have been a member for about 25 years or more..

I would like to know if the $35 year membership promotion is available this year? I went to BJs before my membership expired and they told me that I needed a coupon with promotion. They refused to give me the promotion without showing a coupon.
Every club is different in our FB group many have said their club gives them the $25 renewal rate. 🙁 Maybe BJs will send you an offer in the mail.
Here’s what happened when I used your link to renew my BJs membership. Even tho’ a new Primary and email were set up, BJs website kept showing the rate at $55, so I cancelled the process. I then went to Groupon to renew using BJs $40 offer, but Groupon was having technical difficulties and couldn’t process the purchase! The next day BJs sent an email to the new Primary email address with an offer to join at the $25 rate! It’s my guess that, even tho’ the original process was cancelled before completion, BJs obviously kept track of the info and must have sent the $25 offer when they saw that they might lose a customer without a deal?! Just sayin’!!!

Here’s what I found regarding the Mastercard linked BJ’s Membership and discounted annual renewal:
“New My BJ’s Perks Plus Mastercard cardholders are automatically enrolled in BJ’s EASY renewal program, which automatically renews memberships each year with no action from the cardholder. This comes with a 20% discount to BJ’s regular membership fee of $50 plus tax, dropping the fee to $40 plus tax.”
“Cardholders can opt out of auto-renew at any time, but they must pay full membership fees thereafter. Supplemental memberships, which cost $30 apiece, aren’t discounted any further by this promotion.”

The above post is several years old, but the answer to Debbie Fox’s question about needing to renew the BJs membership in order to keep the card is “No”. No you do not need to have a BJs membership to keep the BJs card. The card is run by a bank and branded BJs. That’s all.

I use the BJs Mastercard and I thought that automatic renewal is in the contract to get the benefits. The card is worth it to me just for the gas savings alone. I’m not sure how the method you suggest would impact the BJs Mastercard I use.
I just use the free 60 day pass , once or twice a year since it’s not that close to me
