BJ’s Pick Up & Pay is Ending But Here’s What to Expect Next

BJ's pick up and pay just never seemed to take off. Maybe it was the fact that only certain items qualified, that many people still didn't want to leave their vehicle or, maybe they had no idea it even existed.

Either way, the program wasn't a big hit. I personally only used it once to order a printer that was on sale and I wanted to try it. Not really a big deal because it was just one item.

BJ's pick up and pay program seemed simple enough, go online, add items to your cart and pick up and pay for those items at the customer service desk. You could even use coupons when you went to pay. Yet, it just didn't work.

Now if they were able to ship other items from one store to the next online maybe this program wouldn't have come to a sudden halt.

Of course, members aren't left with having to actually walk around the store and pay for their items, oh no friends.

This whole instant need it now sent to me grocery deal is hitting BJ's members now.

BJ's members are able to have their groceries delivered in as little as two hours.

Instacart.

I get it, though. With so many brick and mortar retailers closing due to declining sales and online shopping, they need to keep up and fast.

Personally, the whole instant grocery thing is not appealing to me. I guess it could just be the season of life I am in that I always make a time to grocery shop every week or the fact I'm there looking for deals to share anyways.

Even with living out in the country I totally get the convenience but I can't get the cost.

That's where I draw a line.
