Shopping BJ’s Wholesale club will save your family money even after paying for a BJ’s membership. Since BJ’s changed their coupon policy earlier in 2019, the way to save at BJ’s has shifted.
Now extreme couponers aren’t able to stack multiple manufacturer coupons on items at BJs, but BJ’s has grown in helping to make saving money easier.

How to Save at BJ’s Right Now
The first way you will save money by shopping BJs is to realize you don’t need a pallet to shop there. I shop weekly and am able to fit everything in our cupboard. Not everything is humongous! Although there are plenty of bulk items. When you are thinking about certain groceries and snacks not everything comes in packs of twenty.
You can grab a large size bag of Pirate’s Booty and Chips that will easily fit in a regular shopping cart. I find snacks like this are always cheaper at BJs then at our local grocery store. Especially if you are shopping organic items.
BJs still accepts manufacturer coupons! I still find using my Kellogg’s Family Rewards points beneficial to saving at BJs.
Here’s an example.
Buy 1 Kellogg’s Special K with Berries Cereal, 43 oz. $8.99
Use the $2.00/1 BJs coupon ( this is not available now but has been in the past)
Print and Use the $1.00/1 Kellogg’s cereal coupon from KFR account
Final Price: $5.99 for two big boxes!
You can stack Ibotta and Checkout 51 offers with BJs coupons too!
Here’s a quick look at some of the apps you can use at BJs!
Yes! This my friends will save you so much money! When you become a BJs member you have to give their store brands- Berkley Jensen and Wellsely Farms a try.
When you try these products there is a 100% money back guarentee. It’s easy to do and not a hassle at all. If you have shopped Aldi before you can shop the store brands at BJs.
I’ve done a few reviews on BJs products here for you to check out. I have loved almost all the BJs brand items I’ve tried except for one so far. That one is the BJs brand razors!
If you are wondering what items you should be buying at BJs check out this article here.
Mix the BJs store brand with your laundry staples and you are paying pennies per load! The BJs brand laundry detergent comes in a 170 oz. bottle for $13.99. About every other month BJs will offer a coupon for $3 off! You can get this bottle for $10.99! That makes each load 9¢.
Not only laundry detergent but fabric softener, sheets, dish detergent, toilet paper and paper towels are all super deals at BJs. This is whether a coupon is available or not.
If buying a big pack of chicken breasts scares you because you have to freeze the rest and package them up, fear no more! All of the Perdue chicken items offered at BJs are individually packed.
This makes it way to easy to buy meat in bulk because it’s cheaper and store the extras in the freezer. I’ve fallen in love with getting meat at Bjs like this even more now that I have a Ninja Foodi! It’s is truly amazing you can put frozen chicken in that thing!
The best part to this is BJs frequently offers coupons on meat in their booklets.
Read the Signs
BJ’s has unique pricing codes they use to tell shoppers when something won’t be coming back. It helps to understand exactly what the pricing codes mean in case you want to let the price go lower. I’ve shared a complete breakdown on BJs pricing here.
For all the clearance I find visit my page here.
If you are going to be shopping more than once a month at BJ’s, you will want to consider a Perks Rewards membership. With this membership there are two different types. One that doesn’t require a credit card sign up gives you 2% back on almost all purchases. The other one will give you 5% back. You can read my full review and learn more here.

The middle aisles at BJs are the treasure areas. You can find great deals and you can also kill your budget there. Where you want to watch for savings is when it’s the end of a season. When it’s the end of September Halloween/Fall items will go on clearance. I’ve made a cheat sheet for you when all the items typically arrive and clearance out at BJs here.
Make a List
It helps to make a list so you don’t stray too far away. I know the best part about shopping wholesale clubs is finding things you didn’t know you needed. If you want to save money on your nest shopping trip at BJs, you will by making a list and sticking to it.
